      Welcome

Charter Members of Marietta-Roswell Alumnae

On February 22, 1986, twenty-one insightful sorors chartered the Marietta-Roswell Alumnae Chapter (MRAC). The chartering was a joyous occasion officiated by Soror Verdelle B. Bellamy, Southern Regional Director , in the community room of the East Cobb Dekalb Federal Savings Bank on Johnson Ferry Road.

Our Insightful 21 at the Chartering

The chartering was the culmination of more than a year of  effort to establish the first African-American sorority in Cobb County. Through their hard work and diligence these women set a standard of excellence which continues to this day. Their dedication to public service and selfless giving have set a benchmark which we strive daily to obtain.  The Insightful 21 lit a torch of excellence which shall be carried by all those whom are privileged to become members of the Marietta-Roswell Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

Still today, The Marietta-Roswell Alumnae Chapter's agenda continues to effect change in the North Metro Atlanta community while we face the challenges of a new millennium. Over twenty years later , the resolve is steady, our torch held high and we continue our deep concern and commitment for the betterment of the Marietta-Roswell community.

Past Chapter Presidents

Over the past 21 years,  nine compassionate, committed, and dedicated sorors have led Marietta-Roswell through it's evolution from a small chapter of 21 women committed to service to where we are today as one of the Top Ten largest Delta chapters in the country. As we have grown so has their legacy.

Marietta-Roswell Alumnae extends our blessings and a heartfelt "Thank You!" to them for taking on the challenges of leading, guiding, directing and molding MRAC in the image our Founders and for their tireless effort to implement our National Initiatives and Five-Point Thrust programs.
